BFO General rules and information
1. 4 points for first, 3 points for second, 2 points for third, 1 point for fourth.
2. Should two players tie for total points, one game of head up basketball for the championship.
3. Individual tie-breakers.
***a. bowling = sudden death, one frame, high score wins
***b. poker = one hand, head-up, cut for deal, 7 cards face up, best 5 card hand wins
***c. golf = putt off on practice green, select hole, drop and putt - closest to the hole wins
4. Players must obey radio silence for 1 week prior to the events, or be considered an idiot.
***a. contact can be made if there is an alteration to flight plans or an emergency
BOWLING
1. Random draw from the hat decides order of play.
2. Three games total score determines place.
POOL
1. Double-elimination tournament. Position determined by random draw from the hat.
2. Flip for break.
3. Straight-in must make one after the break to establish solids / stripes.
***a. 8 ball break wins
***b. scratch on break is not a loss
***c. scratch when on the 8 ball is a loss
4. Call ball and pocket. If you hit your ball first and the ball you wanted to go in goes in the pocket you called, regardless of slop, it is a good shot.
5. Place determined by order of elimination.
RBI
1. Double-elimination tournament, position decided by random drawing from hat.
2. Flip for home / visitor.
3. Singles and home runs only.
***a. may advance at own risk on gloo-gloos
***b. may steal at own risk
4. Pitch must cross some white of the plate, whether swung at or not, or next pitch must be a B button down the middle.
***a. no intentional walks
***b. may attempt to dose a batter, however, if you miss, refer to rule 4
5. Pitcher must pitch complete game, no pinch hittting for or pulling pitcher
***a. exception - if you are losing in the 9th inning, you may pinch hit for your pitcher with no penalty
6. Automatic win if
***a. other player breaks rule 5
***b. turn a triple play
***c. reset or freezup after 5 complete innings
7. No catching foul balls.
***a. exception - a player such as the catcher is locked and catches it by default
***b. if a foul ball goes into the stands between the "creases" in the backstop, the player on the side it goes out takes a dose in the shoulder from the opposite player simulating being hit by the ball
8. Place determined by the order of elimination.
BASKETBALL
1. Double-elimination format, position determined by random draw from the hat.
2. Shoot for first possession.
3. All baskets count as 1 point. Play straight up to 11, not win by 2.
4. Offense calls own fouls.
5. Place determined by order of elimination.
GOLF
1. 18 holes, full length course.
2. Stroke play 1 mulligan per 9.
3. Fluff up lie OK. No improving line of shot. In other words, you can improve your lie but cannot move the ball from behind a tree or other obstruction.
4. OB is drop and chop, not stroke and distance, just a stroke. For instance if you tee off and go up and find your ball out of bounds, you do not have to go back to the tee box and take a stroke. Just drop no closer to the hole on the line of the shot and add one stroke.
5. Putt everything out - no gimmies.
6. Gentleman's 10 in effect.
7. Hole-in-one wins event.
8. Low score determines place.
POKER
1. 7 card stud, each player starts with 100 chips.
2. First dealer determined by high card.
3. Low card brings play in for 1 chip. Max bet 3 chips, 3 raises.
4. One hour time limit. After time expires, one last hand dealt.
5. Chip count determines place.
